A remanufactured engine, transmission, or other components, should match the same customer expectation/performance as new components.
Many steps in the remanufacturing process involve component cleaning. Assemblies and individual components are cleaned to remove oil/grease, burned-on carbon, metal oxides, and general road grime. These parts cleaning operations are generally more difficult than similar operations employed in the manufacturing of new parts. The oils and other contaminants are often aged and charred on, and are especially difficult to remove, without
damaging the metal surfaces of the components being cleaned. This can be quite challenging for removing these contaminants from sensitive parts such as those made of aluminum, copper, and brass.
Working hand-in-hand with key Reman companies, KYZEN has developed and implemented new-
technology cleaning chemistries and processes which have produced significant benefits for Automotive Remanufacturing, Aircraft MRO, and other key applications.
• 30% to 50% reduction in wash cycle time
• Longer wash stage bath life – 2X to 3X
• Up to 90% reduction of final blasting man hours
• Improved part cleanliness (particulate, carbon, etc.)
• Significantly reduction in wash stage temperature (140 to 150 deg F)
• Lower cost for parts cleaning process
